The vision of this Soul Food restaurant is from two chefs: Keith Corbin and Daniel Patterson. The menu is influenced by traditional West African food and California cuisine fused with Southern flavors. Every plate that is brought to the table is packed with a steep soulful taste of our ancestral roots. The goal of Alta is to celebrate the inclusivity of a new generation of rising culinary talent. Let’s start with the appetizers and then lead into the tasty main entrees.
Every bite was mouth-watering from the spicy herb sauce to the light sweet creamy texture of the Grits to the earthy broth of the Gumbo and finally, the smokey flavor of the collard greens more than satisfied our tummy’s. We even had the chance to chat with Chef Keith Corbin, about the splendid food he had prepared for us. I’m going back without a doubt, especially for the Black-Eyed Pea Fritters, and try the Pineapple-Coconut Upside Down Cake.

Each dish seems like a designer Cuisine. I’m interested in the Grits and shrimp dish. I might be ruining the dish however can it be made without salt?
HipppieSrirachaGirl says
That would be a question for the Chef. I’m sure an adjustment of seasoning can be adjusted on your behalf.
